Hike to the Ötscher summit

With a far-reaching view to the Danube

1,893 meters high, the summit of the Ötscher. Once you have reached the top, you will not only see the summit cross, but also an incredible view of the surrounding mountains of the Mostviertel. Since the last part up to the top is very rocky and uneven, please make sure you wear sturdy shoes!

The route: Take the chairlift from the valley station in Lackenhof up to the mountain station. From there, a comfortable walking path leads up to the Hüttenkogel. In front of the panoramic telescope, a path to the left heads east over the stony rocky ridge to the Ötscher summit.

Tip: Below the summit cross is the launch site for paragliders. Why not combine a hike with a high-altitude flight?
