Snowshoe hiking on the Ötscher

We are one snowshoe trail richer... in addition to our offer for skiers, since the winter season 19/20 there is also a snowshoe trail on the Great Ötscher with us.

With the double chairlift Großer Ötscher and the snowshoes in your luggage, you can easily get to the starting point of the snowshoe hike "Hüttenkogel".

A route laid out in serpentines - with 2 km total length and about 120 meters of altitude. Ideal for beginners and those who want to breathe fresh mountain air at 1,425 m.

After the pleasant hike, you can strengthen yourself in the Ötscher Schutzhaus and warm up with a hot cup of mulled wine.

Things to know about the snowshoe hike

Description of the route:
From the parking lot Weitental go to the ticket machine where conveniently buy a lift ticket for the double chairlift Großer Ötscher. The start of the tour is after the lift exit "Großer Ötscher" at 1.425m. From here the route is signposted and leads you up to the 1,525m high Hüttenkogel. There you can expect a breathtaking panorama and mountainous distant views.
